A need to fix Medi-Cal
How great it would be for an economy to have a healthy and strong future labor force, it is amazing that anyone could lose an insight of the symbiotic relation between education and affordable health; I know some may say that it is a relationship between education and good health, but of what good is the health that is not affordable?
Some out of their respected opinion would go for wage increase rather than affordable health, but I think wage increase without affordable health is like a step forward and two steps backward.
What is the assurance that a child will add to the number of the future labor force when the child could not see the doctor at a preventable period of a life threatening disease?
Life threatening diseases sometime manifest when it is time to start playing a role in the labor force. Women are dying in silence and ignorance because they could not afford to see a doctor.
As it is to everyone, good health is a need to our seniors and not a want but Medi-Cal needs to be fixed to be well funded.
Let us join force with the SEIU to champion for Minimum wage increase and fixing Medi.Cal for affordable health.
